A 36-year-old woman was hospitalized Saturday after she was shot in Boyle Heights.
The shooting was reported at 12:45 a.m. in the 2800 block of East Cesar Chavez Avenue, according to a desk officer at the Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations Center.
The woman was taking items out of her car when she was shot by a male suspect who fled the scene, he said.
The woman was taken to a hospital by ambulance, her condition was not available, the officer said.
