The driver of a gray Honda Civic was pronounced dead on the side of the Foothill (210) Freeway in Azusa Saturday after the car veered across lanes and hit the center divider, then a tree.
The crash was reported to the California Highway Patrol about 3:25 p.m. Saturday on the westbound Foothill Freeway just east of Vernon Avenue.
A witness told the CHP the driver possibly passed out and was swerving in lanes before the crash.
A description of the driver was not immediately available.
