A 24-year-old Coachella woman suspected of stealing items from a home was out on bail Friday following her arrest in Palm Desert.
Samantha Montoya Gomez was booked Thursday at the Benoit Detention Center in Indio Thursday on suspicion of first degree burglary.
She was released Friday on $35,000 bail.
Deputies responded about 6 p.m. Aug. 5 to a report of a residential burglary, according to Riverside County sheriff’s Sgt. James Mills.
A preliminary investigation revealed a victim was inside the home at the time, and authorities later identified Gomez as the suspect, Mills said.
She was arrested around 6 p.m. Thursday near Interstate 10 and Washington Street in Palm Desert, according to Mills.
