The California Highway Patrol Monday cancelled a Silver Alert after a 59-year-old man suffering from dementia was located.
Jorge Mejia was previously last seen at about 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the 4900 block of Van Nuys Boulevard in Sherman Oaks, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. He currently resides in an assisted living facility in the 13500 block of Sherman Way in Van Nuys, according to the LAPD.
The CHP activates Silver Alerts to aid in the swift recovery of missing elderly or developmentally or cognitively impaired people who are considered at-risk.
