Authorities Tuesday released the name of a 67-year-old woman who was struck and killed by an unoccupied work truck that rolled backward in Brentwood.

The collision was reported about 10:45 a.m. Friday in the 16500 block of West Park Lane Circle, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, LAFD spokeswoman Margaret Stewart said.

The county Medical Examiner’s office identified the woman as Nga Nguyen. No place of residence was disclosed.

The death was ruled accidental with the cause being traumatic injuries, according to the Medical Examiner’s office.

Cal/OSHA was notified of the death, Stewart said. According to the agency, the work truck was unoccupied when it struck Nugyen.

An email seeking additional details from Cal/OSHA was not immediately returned.
