A 20-year-old man who died in a Hawthorne hospital after being involved in what the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department would only term an “incident” was identified by the county medical examiner’s office Thursday.
Kenyae Rollins suffered an unspecified injury about 12:30 p.m. Saturday in the 14000 block of Cerise Avenue, near Rosecrans Avenue, according to the LASD. He was taken by ambulance to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
An examination of Rollins’ body was scheduled by the medical examiner, which has not yet listed a cause and manner of death.
No suspect information or details about what happened to Rollins were disclosed.
Sheriff’s homicide detectives were working with the Hawthorne Police Department on the investigation to determine how and why the man died.
Anyone with information was asked to call homicide detectives at 323-890-5500 or Crime Stoppers at 899-222-8477.
