A man in his mid-30s was left in critical condition after a two-vehicle rollover crash Tuesday afternoon in Reseda.
The collision was reported at 1:01 p.m. Tuesday in the 18900 block of West Parthenia Street, near Wilbur Avenue.
An animal control officer was called to the scene because kittens were found, unharmed, in one of the vehicles, according to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The wreck and response shut down Parthenia in both directions at Wilbur Avenue, and the city Department of Transportation was summoned for traffic control.

One of the kittens died and the mother ran away from the scene. This in an inaccurate account.
