A brush fire broke out Wednesday just west of Temecula, scorching roughly 10 acres on a hillside before crews deployed to the location.

The non-injury blaze was reported at 11:50 a.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Via Tornado and Via Santa Rosa, in the unincorporated community of De Luz, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

The agency said that multiple engine crews were sent to the location and encountered flames moving at a moderate rate through medium brush, not immediately threatening any homes.

The lightly populated location is zoned rural-agricultural.

Two Cal Fire air tankers and a water-dropping helicopter were summoned to make runs on the brusher.

No evacuation orders appeared imminent. However, road closures were likely.

The cause of the fire wasn’t immediately known.
