Two Palm Springs residents suspected of a gang-related assault at a grocery store were arrested Thursday following a multi-agency operation.

Dearman’s and Manning’s bail were set at $500,000.

On Sept. 1, around 11 p.m., officers responded to an assault in the 400 block of S. Sunrise Road, according to the Palm Springs Police Department.

The victim, identified only as a man, was approached by the two men and allegedly was physically assaulted at the grocery store. The victim fell on the ground and attempted to block their attacks but he was kicked, stomped and then dragged several feet throughout the store, police said.

He sustained serious injuries and the suspects fled the scene.

Manning and Dearman were arrested Thursday after a served search warrants at separate locations, police said.

“The Palm Springs Police Department remains committed to ensuring the safety of our community and holding those responsible for violent crimes accountable. This operation was a collaborative effort involving multiple law enforcement agencies,” the department stated.

Background information on Manning and Dearman was not immediately available.
