One person was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on the westbound Ventura (134) Freeway Monday near Toluca Lake.
The crash was reported at approximately 12:11 a.m. Monday and California Highway Patrol officers responded to the westbound freeway and the Cahuenga Boulevard exit where they found the victim lying in one of the freeway’s middle lanes and a vehicle that was overturned on its roof, CHP Officer Sergio Garcia told City News Service.
The two SUVs involved in the crash sustained both front and rear end damage, according to reports from the scene.
The victim – whose name, gender and age were not immediately known – was pronounced dead at the scene.
The CHP closed four lanes of the westbound freeway for several hours while they investigated the cause of the crash.
