An investigation was underway Tuesday into the discovery of human remains in Whitewater.
Deputies responded about 8:50 p.m. Monday to the area of Esparta Avenue and Salton View Road following a report of possible remains, according to Riverside County sheriff’s Sgt. Wenndy Brito-Gonzalez.
The Coroner’s Bureau confirmed the discovery was human, Brito-Gonzalez said.
No further details were immediately released.
