Authorities sought the public’s help Friday in locating an armed suspect who allegedly robbed a bank in Lancaster.

Deputies responded around 2 p.m. Friday to the 1800 block of East Avenue J to reports regarding a suspect with a knife who allegedly robbed a Wells Fargo bank, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Lancaster Station.

Sheriff’s officials said the suspect fled the scene with thousands of dollars.

He was last seen wearing a mask with polka dots and a black hoodie.

Anyone with information regarding the robbery was urged to call the Lancaster Sheriff*s Station at 661-948-8466. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.

  1. It would be almost impossible for anyone other than possibly someone with knowledge of who it was that robbed the bank to identify him/her without clear photos of the person that did it. I see these requests for information all the time from LEO’s, and I always wonder why they bother if they don’t have any photos that are, number one, clear, and number two, at least a few that are clear to get an idea about who that might be. Methinks you are just spinning your wheels without any hope of actually gaining any information.
