A man was charged Tuesday in a stabbing attack in Long Beach that left one of his roommates dead and another injured.
Alejandro Iniestra, 34, is charged with one count each of murder and attempted murder, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
The attack was reported around 10:30 a.m. Saturday to the 1300 block of Temple Avenue. Long Beach Fire Department personnel determined that one victim — whose name has not yet been released — died at the scene, and the second victim was taken to a hospital in stable condition, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
Iniestra was arrested at the scene of the attack, police said. He has remained behind bars since then, jail records show.
Police said the motive for the attack was under investigation.
