A 46-year old man was identified as the victim of a fatal shooting in Lancaster Friday by county authorities.
Deputies from the department’s Lancaster Station responded to the 300 block of W. Avenue J-2 and Sierra Highway regarding a shots fired call at the location, where authorities allege is an illegal gambling site, at approximately10:16 p.m. Wednesday, according to LASD Homicide Lt. Michael Modica.
The victim- Jason Velasquez- was pronounced dead at the scene.
