A 52 year-old man who was killed in a multi-vehicle crash in Commerce was identified by county authorities Thursday.
The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner identified the victim as Jose Cordova Aldana.
The wreck occurred about 12:55 p.m. Wednesday on the southbound Santa Ana (5) Freeway near Washington Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Aldana was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics.
All southbound lanes were initially shut down, with three of five later reopened as a SigAlert remained in effect.
One vehicle was reported to have overturned, though the CHP did not immediately confirm that detail.
CHP officials said the SigAlert was canceled at 4:50 p.m. Wednesday, and all lanes had since reopened following the investigation.
