One person was killed after they crashed into a utility pole in an unincorporated area of South Whittier, California Highway Patrol officials said Saturday.
CHP officers were called at 8:33 p.m. Friday to Imperial Highway and Carmenita Road where they found the victim inside a white BMW sedan after the collision, CHP Officer Elizabeth Kravig told City News Service.
The victim — whose name, age or gender were not immediately known — was taken to a hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
There were no further details available.
