An at-risk 88-year-old man who was the subject of a Silver Alert after last being seen in Encino has been located, the California Highway Patrol announced.
Gerhard Zimmerman had last been seen around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, near Encino Avenue and Ventura Boulevard, according to the CHP, which activated the alert Tuesday on behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department.
The CHP announced Tuesday evening that Zimmerman had been located, but as is typical in missing persons cases, additional details were not provided.
The CHP established the Silver Alert program to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
