A 38-year-old man was arrested Wednesday for his alleged involvement in a string of recent burglaries and vandalism incidents in Indio.
Jacob Garcia, 38, will be booked into Benoit Detention Center in Indio on suspicion on multiple felony charges, according to the Indio Police Department.
Police said Friday night that they increased patrols in the downtown district and surrounding neighborhoods to deter further criminal activity as a result of the crimes.
Details on the alleged burglaries and vandalism were not immediately provided.
Garcia was arrested without incident shortly before 11:50 a.m. Wednesday in the 82000 block of Highway 111.
