One man suffered minor injuries in a single-vehicle, high -speed crash where the car flipped onto its roof in Burbank, the Burbank Police Department reported Thursday.
The crash occurred around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday at South Myers Street and West Olive Avenue, where the vehicle began accelerating, then slammed into a tree before flipping over, according to reports from the scene.
Burbank Police Department Lt. Jamal Childs told City News Service the crash was possibly due to ”mechanical failure,” causing the vehicle to accelerate and crash near Saint Finbar Church on Olive.
The passenger in the vehicle suffered minor injuries in the crash.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
