An 84-year-old man who was the subject of a Silver Alert after disappearing in Paramount last month has been found, authorities announced Monday.
Manuel Vargas had last been seen on Oct. 20 in the 16500 block of Garfield Avenue, near Jackson Street, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
He has since been located, but authorities did not release details about when or where he was found.
The CHP established the Silver Alert program to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
