Authorities will conduct a military training exercise Friday in the unincorporated area of Blythe.
It will be held from 2 p.m. Friday through 6 p.m. Saturday in the 19000 block of S. DeFrain Boulevard, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Numerous law enforcement agencies, including the Blythe Police Department, U.S. Border Patrol, Colorado River Station’s Special Enforcement Team and California Highway Patrol will assist the U.S. Marine Corps with the training exercise.
The event will require several road closures in the area and authorities advise nearby residents to cooperate with the road closures.
Details on the location of the street closures was not immediately provided.
