Two people were injured Tuesday evening when a vehicle fire spread to an apartment building in South El Monte.
The fire was reported at 9:18 p.m. Tuesday in the 3000 block of North Lashbrook Avenue, near Garvey Avenue, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department spokesman Jonathan Torres.
The fire was out at 9:33 p.m., Torres said.
At least one of the patients was found on the second floor, Torres said.
The two patients were taken to a hospital in ambulances, their conditions unknown, he said.
Video from the scene showed firefighters reviving a dog with oxygen and Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies helping put the dog in an animal control truck.
