A possible intruder was shot to death Friday in Studio City.
The fatal shooting was reported about 7:10 a.m. Friday at 4542 N. Tujunga Ave., on the edge of North Hollywood near the Ventura (101) and Hollywood (170) freeway split, according to Los Angeles police and fire officials. The call indicated a trespasser was involved.
Authorities pronounced a roughly 40-year-old man dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, a 79-year-old man was taken to a hospital in serious condition, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. The nature of his injuries was not disclosed.
