A 39-year-old woman who was killed in a Lancaster crash involving a car and a big rig was identified Friday.

The crash, which left the woman trapped inside her vehicle, was reported about 6:45 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of 30th Street West and Avenue G, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Video from the scene showed the obliterated remains of a white Volkswagen Passat and a big rig with slight damage to its rear trailer.

A witness at the scene told the videographer that the car was dragged sideways by the big rig after the vehicles collided.

The Passat driver was pronounced dead at the scene. She was identified Friday by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner as Destiny Anthony, who sustained fatal blunt traumatic injuries.

The big rig driver was not injured.

Crews cleared the scene by 7:16 a.m. Thursday, a fire department spokesman said.
