Los Angeles Police Department detectives Monday sought additional potential victims who may have been sexually assaulted by a 37-year-old man who remains behind bars after allegedly kidnapping a girl in Hollywood and assaulting her.
Detectives from the Juvenile Division began an investigation into locating additional victims after the arrest of Los Angeles resident David Josue Lopes, also known as David Lopez, on Thursday in the Westlake district, police said.
Lopes was booked on suspicion of sexual assault, and detectives have released a photo of him in hopes of encouraging other potential victims to come forward.
The investigation remains ongoing with Juvenile Division detectives working collaboratively with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office Sex Crime Unit.
