A 34-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by a Metro A (Blue) Line train Wednesday morning in the unincorporated Florence-Graham area.
The victim was struck at about 6:10 a.m. Wednesday at a rail crossing near the intersection or Nadeau Street and Graham Avenue, according to Metro spokesman Patrick Chandler.
“The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the scene and declared the individual deceased,” he said.
The victim was later identified by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner as Ricci Sandoval.
A bus bridge was established between the Florence and Firestone stations along the A Line route until about 10 a.m., when regular service resumed.
The sheriff’s department was leading the investigation.
