Mediation is scheduled next spring in a lawsuit brought against Bronny James by two women who allege they were injured in a traffic accident after Bronny’s car collided with theirs in Littlerock in 2022.
According to court papers filed Friday in Antelope Valley Superior Court by attorneys for April Almanza Lopez of Saugus and Kiara Rae McGillen, attorney Amy Solomon will serve as the mediator when the process begins on May 26. Judge Daniel L. Alexander also has scheduled a status conference for Friday.
According to the lawsuit filed in October 2024, the collision occurred on Pearblossom Highway near 87th Street on Nov. 13, 2022. McGillen was driving the plaintiffs’ car and Bronny James, now 21, the other car. His father, LeBron James, was a passenger. LeBron James, now 40, was dropped as a defendant on June 20.
The Valencia women maintained they suffered injuries in which they affected their medical expenses and impacted their employment. Lopez, who owned the plaintiffs’ car, also contends she incurred vehicle repair costs.
LeBron and Bronny James are the first father-son duo to play in an NBA game together.
