An 8-year-old girl was wounded by a stray bullet fired through the wall of her family’s apartment in the Del Rey neighborhood near Culver City, police said Monday.
The shot was fired about 2:45 p.m. Sunday in the 4700 block of South Slauson Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The girl was taken to a hospital and was reported in stable condition.
According to the LAPD, the shot was fired from a neighboring residence, but no one was taken into custody and no suspect description was available.
Police did not confirm a report that guns were seized from a neighbor of the girl.
