A 58-year-old man was fatally shot Monday in Santa Ana in what police said they believe was a gang-related killing.
Officers responded at approximately 12:30 p.m. Monday to 300 N. Daisy Ave., near Third Street, after receiving reports of a man who was shot and suffering in the street, according to the Santa Ana Police Department.
The responding officers discovered the victim, later identified as John Albert Guillen, with a single gunshot wound to his upper body, police said.
Orange County Fire Authority paramedics were sent to the location, but despite life-saving measures, they pronounced Guillen dead at the scene.
