Authorities sought the public’s assistance Tuesday in identifying a man suspected of abusing a dog in Lynwood.
The man was witnessed around 1:15 p.m. Monday near Atlantic Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, allegedly strangling and kicking an adult German shepherd, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies described the suspect as a Hispanic man in his 30s of medium stature. He has an unknown tattoo on the right side of his neck and was last seen wearing a purple pullover sweater and blue jeans, riding a black bicycle with a black milk crate affixed to the front handlebars.
The man allegedly shoved the dog into the milk crate moments before heading toward Abbott Road in Lynwood, authorities said.
