Police sought potential additional sexual assault victims Tuesday connected to a 32-year-old man who remains in custody on suspicion of rape by force.
Detectives from the West Bureau Special Assault Section released a photo of Clinton Adams, who was taken into custody on Nov. 19, in hopes of encouraging additional victims to come forward, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Adams was described as a 6-foot-1 Black man weighing 170 pounds, with brown eyes and dreadlocks.
Detectives determined after investigating that Clinton, on two separate occasions, met two female victims and invited them to a residence where he allegedly sexually assaulted them.
“Both victims came forward to report the sexual assaults and identified Adams by name,” the police department said in a statement.
Police said Adams is known on social media platforms under the username ”Clintinlord,” but it remains unclear if he targeted the two women or potential additional victims online.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office filed three counts of rape by use of force against Adams, along with an additional count of assault with the intent to commit a felony, police said.
Adams is expected to appear back in court Monday.
Anyone who may have been victimized by Adams or may have additional information about the alleged assaults was urged to call the LAPD Operations West Bureau Special Assault Section at 213-473-0420.
Calls during non-business hours or the weekends should be made to 877-527-3247. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477 or visit lacrimestoppers.org.
