Police Wednesday are investigating a fatal stabbing of a man who police said was homeless at Whitsett Field Park in North Hollywood.
Los Angeles Police Department officers from the North Hollywood Division responded at 8 p.m. Tuesday to a stabbing call near Whitsett Avenue and Vanowen Street near the park and the Hollywood (170) Freeway, an LAPD spokesman told City News Service.
Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded to the park, where they found the victim with stab wounds to the side of the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
There was no suspect information.
