A 26-year-old man who was fatally shot in South Gate was identified by county authorities Thursday.
Angel Chitay Urzua was identified as the victim, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office.
Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department were called to the 3700 block of Tweedy Boulevard and South Carlos Avenue at 12:02 a.m. Wednesday where they found Urzua, said LASD homicide Lt. Daniel Vizcarra.
Urzua was pronounced dead at the scene.
