A 47-year-old man was arrested for allegedly stealing from a business in Thousand Palms and possession of narcotics and a loaded firearm, authorities said Thursday.
Deputies responded to a report of a burglary in progress shortly before 8:50 p.m. Wednesday in the 72000 block of Ramon Road, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. Upon arrival, they found a suspect allegedly in possession of narcotics and a loaded firearm, and took him into custody without incident.
He was later identified as Pedro Rueda of Cathedral City.
Rueda was booked into Benoit Detention Center in Indio on suspicion of burglary, weapons and narcotics violations, according to the department.
