A Silver Alert issued for a missing 81-year-old man last seen in Compton was deactivated Friday after he was found.
Claudel Tyler was last seen at approximately 6:10 p.m. Thursday at North McDivitt Avenue and East Peck Street, according to the California Highway Patrol, which issued the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Tyler was found at 2:38 a.m. Friday, authorities said.
The CHP established the Silver Alert program to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled, or cognitively impaired individuals.
