Authorities were in a standoff with a barricaded suspect Thursday evening in Palmdale, prompting an evacuation for the residents.
Deputies issued a shelter-in-place advisory shortly before 7:55 p.m. and cautioned the public to avoid the area near 35th Street and Avenue R-4, according to the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station.
It remains unclear what led to the suspect barricading themselves in the area, and details about what the person was wanted for remain unknown.
