A Silver Alert was activated for an 61-year-old man last seen Wednesday in Norwalk.
Clyde Welch was last seen at approximately 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Firestone Boulevard and Imperial Highway, according to the California Highway Patrol, which issued the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Welch is Black, 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighs 260 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes. Authorities said he was last seen wearing a black jacket and gray sweatpants.
Welch is believed to be traveling on foot.
Anyone who has seen Welch or knows of his whereabouts was asked to call 911.
The CHP established the Silver Alert program to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of the elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
