A 21-year-old man was charged Thursday with shooting a man in Orange earlier this month.
Wayne Anthony Williams was charged with attempted murder with a sentencing enhancement for inflicting great bodily injury on the victim. His city of residence was not disclosed.
Williams did not enter a plea at his arraignment Thursday, and the hearing was rescheduled for Dec. 30.
Police were called just before midnight Dec. 1 about shots being fired in the 2700 block of North Villa Real Road, according to Lt. Mike Monjaraz of the Orange Police Department.
A short time later a resident said a man had been shot, Monjaraz said. The victim, a a 24-year-old man whose name was not released, was found in a driveway, where officers helped him until he was taken to a hospital.
