An allegedly stolen small plane crashed into a hangar at Van Nuys Airport Thursday, and one person was taken into custody.
There were no reports of any injuries, although video from the scene showed the front of the aircraft piercing the side of a hangar, leaving a gaping hole in the building.
A representative of Los Angeles Airport Police told NBC4 that a suspect broke into a flight school at the airport around 4 a.m. and took the single-engine Cessna, crashing it into the hangar building. The person was arrested on suspicion of burglary and aircraft theft, the station reported.
The plane did not appear to have gotten off the ground at any point.
