A “career criminal” is behind bars Sunday after being found with multiple stolen packages during a routine traffic stop, the Culver City Police Department said.
The motorist was stopped at 3:30 a.m. Saturday near Slauson Avenue and Buckingham Parkway for a “hazardous traffic violation.” department officials said in a post on X.
A subsequent a search of the vehicle, “uncovered multiple stolen mail packages addressed to residents in Culver City,” police noted. “The driver was arrested for burglary and booked with a probation hold. We look forward to reuniting our residents with their items in time for the holidays.”
No further information was released about the suspect.
The department advised people “to bring in packages as soon as they arrive.”
