A Silver Alert was in effect Monday for an 84-year-old man who went missing in Rancho Mirage.
Tyrone Love was last seen about 7:20 a.m. Sunday at Bob Hope Drive and MacMillan Way, according to the California Highway Patrol, which issued the alert on behalf of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Love is white, 5 feet 11 inches tall and 158 pounds. He has gray hair, brown eyes and was last seen wearing a tan jacket, gray pants and black shoes.
Authorities believe he may be traveling on foot.
The CHP established the Silver Alert program to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled, or cognitively impaired individuals.
Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts was asked to call 911.
