One person was killed Sunday in a single-vehicle crash on Angeles Crest Highway in Altadena, authorities said.
The California Highway Patrol and the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to an emergency text notification at 12:43 p.m. Sunday.
First responders pronounced one person dead at the scene, while a second person was rushed to a hospital.
Both eastbound and westbound lanes were stopped at a nearby tunnel on the two-lane highway, according to the CHP.
