A pedestrian was struck by an SUV Tuesday morning while crossing a Studio City street and left to die by the motorist, authorities said.
The hit-and-run crash was reported at 5:44 a.m. in the 12900 block of Ventura Boulevard, near Coldwater Canyon Avenue, Los Angeles Police Department Officer Drake Madison told City News Service.
The suspect’s vehicle was described as a black Toyota RAV4, Madison said. It was eastbound on Ventura Boulevard and fled on Van Noord Avenue.
The adult pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene and a canopy was requested to conceal the victim’s body, the officer said.
The pedestrian was described as a man early on but reports from the scene raised the possibility the victim was a woman, Madison said. Their name and age were not released.

#NotAsia&Them(Victims)
3.5 hours later and Ventura still closed? LAPD needs to be better at this. Closing a major road during morning rush hour this long is inexcusable.
