Firefighters rescued a person who became trapped in a drainage tunnel amid heavy rain Wednesday morning in Winnetka.
Crews searched for an hour before locating the trapped individual near the Corbin Street bridge, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
“Firefighters were able to get a ground ladder down through a vault opening and the adult male patient self-extricated, climbing up the ladder to dry ground,” according to LAFD spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.
