A 19-year-old man who was fatally shot at an intersection in Lancaster was identified by authorities Monday.
The death occurred at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday at Elena Street and West Avenue K-14, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies dispatched to the scene located the victim, later identified by the Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office as Juan Carlos Ramirez Zuno, suffering from a gunshot wound.
Paramedics pronounced him dead on the sidewalk.
Two people of interest were detained, according to the sheriff’s department, but it was unclear if either was booked in connection with the shooting.
