Police Saturday are searching for the suspect who fatally stabbed a 38-year-old man during a violent confrontation in downtown Los Angeles, east of the Fashion District.
Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Newton Division responded at approximately 1:42 a.m. Saturday to Seventh and Mateo streets where they learned the suspect was engaged in an argument with the victim and at some point stabbed the man, an LAPD spokesman told City News Service.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics were called to the scene, where they pronounced the victim dead.
The suspect ran away from the scene and is still at large, police said.
