A 26-year-old man was killed Saturday in a collision with a semi-trailer on the Pomona (60) Freeway in Montebello.
California Highway Patrol officers were called at 3:04 a.m. Saturday to the North Garfield Avenue exit of the eastbound freeway, where they learned the victim was traveling in a white sedan involved in the crash, CHP Officer Sergio Garcia told City News Service.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by the Montebello Fire Department.
He was later identified as Aidan Guevara, according to the Medical Examiner’s office. Guevara’s city of residence was not available.
A SigAlert issued by the CHP at 3:40 a.m. for the closure of one lane the eastbound 60 freeway at the North Garfield exit was canceled at 6:42 a.m.
