A 15-year-old boy is in critical condition Saturday after he was trapped inside a vehicle following a two-car collision on the Golden State (5) Freeway in Atwater Village.
Fire crews responded to the center divider of the northbound freeway and the West Los Feliz Road exit at 8:19 p.m. Friday where they found the victim and freed him in approximately 12 minutes, Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Lyndsey Lantz said.
LAFD paramedics took the boy to a trauma center for treatment.
