A fire at two-story house in Beverlywood was knocked down in 34 minutes by 54 Los Angeles Fire Department firefighters Monday evening.

Los Angeles Fire Department firefighters were called to 1561 S. Reeves St., two blocks south of Pico Boulevard and one block west of Beverly Drive, at 10:18 p.m. Monday where they found the flames on the second floor, which extended into the attic, said LAFD spokeswoman Jennifer Middleton.

Firefighters worked extensively to protect the occupants’ belongings, Middleton added.

The residents of the home escaped the fire and no injuries to firefighters or civilians were reported, according to Middleton.
