The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department was investigating the death of at least one person in Lakewood Thursday.
Deputies and Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded about 7:55 a.m. Thursday to the 5800 block of Lorelei Avenue, near South Street.
A sheriff’s department spokeswoman did not detail the nature of the death investigation, but a fire department spokesman said crews responded to a report of a gunshot victim at the location.
No one was transported from the scene, and firefighters cleared the location by 8:51 a.m., the spokesman said.
There were three patients at the scene, according to a broadcast report that did not specify ages, genders or conditions.
